To have a mother who took photos of me when I was growing up. She not only took photos but kept them all organized with dates and descriptions behind each one (the same can not be said for my gradeschool/high school report cards which were tossed away one day in her need to clean her already immaculate house). She claimed that each of them said the same two things 1. Meredith is very smart but doesn't apply herself 2. I see more of the back of her head than I do the front as she is always talking in class. Too her defense, this is true:)
Back to photos: As you know, I am taking Ali Edwards Yesterday and Today class on Big Picture Scrap booking. This is the first scrap booking class that I have ever taken and I am very much enjoying myself. Part of the class is to find old pictures of yourself and incorporate them into the layouts you create. Unfortunately I don't have any old photos but my mom was coming down to visit for Thanksgiving so she was able to bring two photo albums down for me. They consist of photos from when I was a baby to about 5 years old. Below are some of my favourites.
Here is my styling mom about a year before I was born. Love the duds.
My cousin Kim and my mom at camp. This photo stands out from the rest in regards to light and composition. My mom thinks my Uncle Blake took it as photography was a hobby of his.
My mom and I as a brand new baby in Connecticut.
Me at Auntie Donna and Uncle Blake's house. I spent allot of time there growing up.
This photo was taken on a trip to Vancouver with my dad. Yes I do look like a little boy.
Check out those glasses. Uncle Blake, his two daughters Kim and Suzanne, and me at our Grandma's house in '77. Those look like packing boxes in the bottom right hand corner so I assume this is when we moved back to T.Bay.
The hammock at our beloved camp. When going through all of the photos, the majority of them were either Christmas shots, or photos from camp.
Trip to Disney Land to meet Mickey for the first time. Are you digging that blue eye shadow and my awesome outfit??
This is my granddad and I from the same trip taking an afternoon nap.
Granddad's birthday with all of the kids out at camp in '81.
Kim and I fishing. 10$ says I never touched the fish:)
Everyone had a pair of these, don't deny it. Sarah and I in front of the Christmas tree at Grandmas house in '81.

So many amazing images and memories. I can't wait to see the rest of them. Even if you aren't a scrap booker (which I am technically not) I highly recommend you take a look through your old photos to take a walk down memory lane.
